Magickal Cleansings for the Shower
Much like bath tubs, showers are also effective in performing Magickal, spiritual, and energetic cleansing. It’s all about making small adjustments and rethinking the process.
Performing cleansing ritual in the bath tub are a great way to cleanse and recharge your Magickal batteries. BUT… what do you do when you have no bath tub? There has to be a way to perform similar water rituals without the use of a basin and tub, right?
Absolutely! You don’t need a tub to perform basic water cleansing rituals. Water in itself is very cleansing. When you couple water with other ingredients, like mineral, you are only increasing this cleansing effect. Here are some specifics of how you can perform a cleansing ritual in the shower instead of a tub.
This is my #1 go to ingredient for shower cleansing rituals. Salt and water are classic when it comes to cleansing ourselves and objects. Use a salt scrub in the shower as an excellent way to cleanse your Magickal/spiritual energy.
2. Herbal scrubs!
Like using herbs to create a tea bath, scrubs are a fast and easy way to perform a necessary spiritual task. There is an added benefit, you will have soft glowing skin as a result. Go to your cupboard in the kitchen, where you keep all your dried herbs and use up some of those aging herbs.
Wait what? I know it sounds strange, but there many foods you can juice to gain their Magickal and cleansing properties. Juicing fruit like Lemons and Cucumbers helps you create a great shower rinse for cleansing your Magickal energies.
We use vinegar to clean our sinks, coffee pots and more… Why not use it as a cleansing vinegar rinse in the shower?
5. Just breathe…
Take some time and just stand under the flowing water. Breathe deeply in and out. Allow the water to flow over you as it takes away all the negativity and struggle you have been facing. It is that simple when we remember that water, in itself is Magickal.
6. Mix it up!
Now that you have some ideas in your head, it’s time to experiment and find your own unique cleansing rituals. Try combining salt and lemon, or herbs and salt for your next cleansing ritual in the shower.
When you rethink the process, showers are just as effective as bathing in the tub. Try one tonight or tomorrow morning.

I love food and everything that goes with it. I have spent more than 35 years in the kitchen, enjoying every minute of it. Okay… well, enjoying nearly every minute of it.
In addition, I have disbursed nearly as many years studying Wicca, Witchcraft, and Paganism. Combining these two interests has created a Magickal path where food, spirituality play brilliantly together.
My love of whole healthy foods, and unique recipes has also lead me to help run a local teen cooking program, where I teach kids valuable life skills in the kitchen. In addition, I teach different cooking classes for adults on subjects of making the time spent in the kitchen more enjoyable and efficient, recipe creation, and how to make cooking a part of your Magickal and spiritual practice.
From this, The Magick Kitchen was born. My journey with you is about developing a spiritual experience with food, far beyond the dull habit of consumption. We have a marvelous opportunity here to take a most basic-mundane task and make it Magickal!
